On this day in 1914, Baba Amte was born into a wealthy family in maharashtra. His full name is murlidhar Devidas Amte later known as baba amte. he is fond of driving luxurious cars and playing sports.

Baba amte launched the first Knit India march  inn 1985. At the age of  72, he walked from kanyakumari to kashmir, this distance is more than 3000 miles. In a time of national strife, Baba Amte was accompanied by 16 women and 100 men , all are under the age of 35, He also planned a second march three years laters and now this time he was travelled over 1800 miles which is basically assam to gujarat.He was died on 9 feb 2008.
